Privacy Policy — Click Blast: Explode Text & Webpage

Last updated: June 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Click Blast: Explode Text & Webpage (“Click Blast”, “the extension”, “we”) handles information when you use our Chrome browser extension published on the Chrome Web Store.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at: adbdev.office@gmail.com

Summary

Click Blast is a fun browser extension that lets you visually “destroy” words and elements on web pages. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal information. The extension stores only your in-app preferences on your device (and optionally syncs them through your Google Chrome account if you have Chrome Sync enabled).

Information We Collect

Click Blast collects very limited data, and only to save your settings:

Data Purpose Where it is stored
Selected blast type (e.g. Scatter, Explode, Indian Meme) Remember your preferred effect Chrome storage.sync (or local storage if sync is off)
Selected meme sound ID (Indian Meme mode only) Remember your preferred sound Chrome storage.sync (or local storage if sync is off)

We do not collect:

How We Use Information

The preferences listed above are used only to:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

Data Storage and Sync

Settings are saved using the Chrome Extension storage API.

We do not operate our own servers and do not receive copies of your synced settings.

Permissions and Why We Need Them

Click Blast requests the following Chrome permissions:

Permission Why it is needed
activeTab Access the tab you are using only when you click the extension icon, use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+B), or interact with the popup — so blast effects can run on that page.
scripting Inject the extension’s scripts and styles when needed (for example, if the content script is not already loaded on that tab).
storage Save your blast type and meme sound preference.

The extension also runs content scripts on http://, https://, and file:// pages so blast mode can work when you enable it. Blast mode only changes the page after you turn it on. Reload the page to undo visual changes.

Sound files bundled with the extension are loaded locally from the extension package — they are not streamed from external servers.

Third-Party Services

Click Blast does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or external APIs. We do not transmit your data to our own or third-party servers.

The extension is distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store, which is operated by Google. Google’s handling of store-related data is governed by Google’s policies.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your preferences remain stored until you:

Uninstalling the extension removes locally stored extension data from your browser.

Children’s Privacy

Click Blast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it.

Security

Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no central database of user information to breach. Settings are handled by Chrome’s built-in extension storage. You should keep your Google account and device secure if you use Chrome Sync.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, when we add features or change permissions). We will update the Last updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.

For significant changes, we may also update the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing.
